Yesterday I decided I need to use the food I had sitting around in the fridge, before I let it go bad like a few other things in there. I bought a bunch of celery last week. I'm sure I had plans for it but I don't know what. So last night I made myself celery soup. I got the basic idea from this recipe, but I just used what I had. No added cream, no celery root, red potato, etc. It turned out pretty tasty, and because I was kinda bored, I documented the creation in photos:
And last, but not least, the tasty final product:
Now, that I have that settled, I have all sorts of plans for today, including searching for wedding shoes, going to Dixieline Lumber (I have handy home decoration projects in mind), and then to Henry's.
I'm collecting recipes now because I would like to do a mass amount of cooking this afternoon/evening, leaving the rest of my week free to be totally lazy. And I've been craving MaPo Dofu lately - I know I haven't had it since leaving San Francisco and that's now been over a year! - so that will be first on my list. Yay food!
